We came across this restaurant after hearing locals praise about how big the portions were. We can agree the portion sizes were plenty and so fresh and delicious. Everything was made and cooked to order and you could taste the difference. Service was very quick and our waitress made us feel welcome. Lots for your money. we had spring rolls ,squid to start. And then chilly beef and Singapore noodles with pork belly
Megan LOnly writing this now as forgot to review when we visited in summer. Love this place, been 2 times inside and we had a takeaway in summer when we visited. Have to say this is one of the best non veggie restaurants (if not best) for vegetarians ever. Wish we lived nearer as wouldn’t bother with any other takeaway again. Food is sensational! Can’t wait to come again. I had the tempeh pad Thai.
mimicod - Abergavenny, United KingdomI am doing my best to work through the menu as everything is simply divine. The 4 of us started with prawn crackers & shrimp crackers which were delicious & big portions. We didn’t have starters this time but the spring rolls are a must…delicious & homemade!
I had the chilli beef, I think my entire family has had this over the years, def one of the best dishes. Lovely tender beef with a sweet, spicy, sticky sauce & lovely fried rice. My bf has the green curry as always, it’s the best he’s ever had. Parents had the prawn Penang curry & thai red curry, neither could fault their dishes. The only question we were left with was that the red curry said medium & Penang said mild in menu however the reality was the other way round. Not a Criticism though as both were delicious & completely polished off!!

Some of the best food I have ever eaten!
Great service combined with authentic, flavoursome and simply delicious food! The red thai curry was to die for!
So I used to live just outside Newquay and loved this restaurant. So when I re-visited with my wife we made a reservation. So when I pitched up outside The central and couldn’t find it we drove to their new location next to Newquay train station. Obviously they moved here for the increased seating, the old place had about four tables.
When I made the reservation I specifically asked if they had vegan options, I wasn’t one when I lived in Cornwall. I’m sure I heard the lady on the phone snigger. I could tell why from the menu after arriving. Pretty much everything had a vegan option. Usually I choose ‘the’ vegan option, but here I was spoilt for choice. I used to make beef rendang for my wife before ‘the change’ and they had one with shredded tempeh. I had a Thai Green curry, which was delicious, but honestly the rendang blew my mind away. It was absolutely fantastic. Look, the staff, décore, service and ambiance are great, but that rendang…..you just have to try it, whether you’re vegan or not, my wife isn’t. It’s fantastic.

Boomshanka...Being local has seen Kahuna down on Tolcarne beach, then the other side of town and now near the train station for a few years the food has only improved and produce quality food time and time again!!
We tried this place having seen the reviews on here. It was as good as reported by others. Great service and simply delicious food with perfect portion sizes. Really fresh tasting dishes and lots of authentic flavour. Super veggie pad thai was yummy as was the spicy jungle curry. Highly recommended.

and authentic Thai. The service is good, low key but attentive. We just
wished this restaurant was nearer so we could eat there more often. Our
favourite place to eat in Newquay! Louise & Suzanne were awesome!
